Jew's Harp

Jew's Harps have a variety of histories. I have found that just about every old culture has some sort of instrument that works on a similar principle - that part of the harp is put in your mouth in such a way that it contacts your teeth and thus uses your head as a sounding board and the tongue of the harp vibrates, thus vibrating your head and producing a sound in relation to the shape of your mouth. The one most commonly used in the United State is made of metal. The harps Marsha uses are made in Molln, Austria by Franz Wimmer. He is a delightful gentleman who has made Jew's Harps most of his life.
